Hey guys updating is going to be back on track now. Sorry for such a long break between updates!
"Me gusta español mucho ahora.... Pero no mi compañera. Nunca.....
Si, estoy todavia con ella..... :(
#prayfortransfers
The Ward gave all of us missionaries (there are 3 companionships in
this Ward, the rest are elders) cards and chocolate....for no specific
reason! Just a thank you for our service to the Lord....how sweet is
that. Obispo Menchaca said, "tell your parents thank you for
me....thank you so much!" He's grateful how my parents raised me and
for who I am. Is that not the cutest thing....He's probably the second
nicest Obispo in the world. (First one being my dad lol) :) they also
all tell me I'm going to stay in La Joya for my whole mission. They
said, "Your mission is not the Phoenix Arizona Mission, it's the La
Joya Phoenix Arizona Mission!!!" MEXICANS ARE SO FUNNY. I also harass
my WML by saying I'm switching to English and he freaks out every
time. Bringing out doctrine and his advice. I laugh so much here. I
love this Ward!
I've seen so many people from home here. Because I'm from
Florida...and that's not close. Lol....confused. Yeah. I saw Elder
King....he was in my zone in the CCM. He's in the Scottsdale mission
and it's super cool that every surrounding mission can come visit with
investigators, recent converts, and less actives. It shows how
important the temple is!!! I've seen the Cerveras, the Robbins, and a
missionary who served in the Beneva Branch! I also saw all of Nina's
best friends from EFY! Nina and Ricky were supposed to come too but
didn't because it would be too much work for Ricky to take off! BOO.
So they owe me a huge package.... :)
We are staying at other sisters apartments for Wednesday, Thursday.
Friday, and Saturday nights because we carpool with them. My apartment
is about 20-30 mins away from the temple! Their apartment is just like
10 mins away from ours, but it's easier just to stay the night with
them than getting up earlier (we already get up at 5) to meet
somewhere! So we still travel like 20 mins there! #nottooshabby
Oh and a mom offered her son to me there....he was like 40 years old
and single. So awkward. So nasty. And someone hard core fell in the
reception tent on Saturday....it took everything in me not to laugh
because I was so uncomfortable. (I laugh when I don't know what to do
#imaterribleperson)
Kay, well I will see you in 445 days!!! Less than 15 months!!!

September 15, 2014
"How has your week been? We'll mine was the same until Yesterday when I
went on Exchanges. It. Was. Awesome. I finally got trained on how to
be a missionary and I loved it. We talked to more than 50 people
yesterday. That means over 50 have heard the truth of the
Gospel.....and I helped. I was with Hermana Santana and she is so
awesome. She goes home 2 days after the Temple Dedication and she is
an amazing missionary! I had so much fun all day and we did more work
that day then I have my whole mission....
I talked to Presidente about how I'm not happy in this companionship
because I feel like I'm not learning (now I know I'm not...) and he
just kept telling me how she's the best trainer ever, blah blah blah.
And I'm like....Hmmm. This is so embarrassing to say, but I didn't
even know about the "Talk to Everyone" thing until Hermana Santana. I
thought it was just about knocking on doors of those we know until
Hermana Santana was like, "uhh why are you riding past these people?"
And I was like, we've never done that before.....BUT THAT IS
MISSIONARY WORK. So now I feel like the first 3 weeks have been
wasted.
Anyway, other than that, nothing new really happened. We have a new
potential family we got from a referral. It's a mom and three girl but
she's living with her boyfriend (eek) I hate when that happens. We
found them but the referral was really for a guy named Freddy. He
works in Salt Lake City and has met with the missionaries. But when we
found him, he was not interested. But a nice guy. And hopefully his
Girlfriend and her kids are interested.
One guy who we were teaching was super interested. We taught about
baptism and he chose the date he wanted to get baptized on, right then
and there. Awesome. But we couldn't find him for awhile and so after
like the 5th time of showing up at his house randomly and
calling...his daughter opened the door and she said he moved.....OUT
OF OUR MISSION. boo.....
But, other than that.....nada.
I JUST CRIED I WAS LAUGHING SO HARD. Dad smelled my hair?!?! Does it
smell good? What do I smell like? Let me know.... That is sooo funny!
Bahahah....golden. I really wished you would've taken a picture pero,
esta bien!
So I got one package in the mail.....is that all there was? I thought
you said there would be two! Will you take a picture of the program
and send it to me? I wanna see my name on there! Also....A PICTURE OF
MY SONS. I miss them terribly. How are they doing? Is Pooper being
nice to Bentley? Do they miss me? I miss them so much I'm tearing up
at the moment....but I'm at a zone activity so I have to choke down
the tears. I'm crazy.....I know.
We'll I don't know what else to talk about, but I LOVE YOU GUYS! I
haven't used any hair products because I want my hair to grow back
SUPER HEALTHY. Cray, huh? Maybe for like a special occasion....
I love you, keep praying.

Second week in Arizona!
Hey everyone, sorry for such a late post! Sister Hermana got to Arizona last week. We didn't hear much from her then except....
"I'm in Arizona! I'm in the La Joya Ward
10350 W McDowell Rd
Apartment: #3225
Avondale, AZ 85392-9539
I JUST mailed my surprise today since last week was Labor Day and the
post office wasn't open. Boo. But yeah I mailed it. Along with the
charger you guys got me.....I need to hook my camera up to the
computer (ex. Card reader or cord) not to charge it. I have my
charger! Also, I REALLY want a gps.....my companion does not know how
to get around the area and it's so annoying to go back and forth on
bike.
I honestly wish I could tell you how our lessons are going. But I
don't understand them and my companion doesn't translate. It's. Hard.
We have a man named Victor who has a heart problem. He has a
pacemaker. Anyway, he picked his own Baptismal Date and
everything...October 26th....and he was afraid to pray. So I told him
this:
Me- Victor, como esta
(High pitched voice) Padre celestial
(Deep voice) Si, hijo
(High voice) estoy agradecido por......lalala
(Deep voice) de nada
(High voice) Por Favor Bendice Me con.......
(Deep Voice) está bien
He looooved it. That was the only thing I've said in lessons all week.
True story. But the ward here is awesome. They always give me advice
(that I don't understand) and call me beautiful. That all I want in
life. Bahaha yeah and we had a haboob the other day....like a dust
storm. It was pretty sweet.
Well I love you guys and I can't wait to see you in 16 months! Bahaha so sad.
Talk to you next week! Also, email me back real quick with how much
money I have in my account....I need $600 Love you!
Xoxo, Hermana Dreiling"

It's really hot here but I[m pushing through. We just went to a dinner appointment and I didnt understand anything."
Here is her e-mail from this week (August 8, 2014)
"Well this week has been a bit better since the whole "incident".
There's only 15 Hermanas in the whole mission. That's only 7
areas....cray. We're mostly in The Tolleson/Glendale areas. Pauline is
the farthest north Hermanas go!
Your car sounds pretty cool. I see you went with a cheaper car because
you're saving up for when I come back. #rangeroverhereicome
You guys should have gotten me some jewelry and sent it! That would've
been nice. ;)

Last week in the Mexico MTC!
Received this e-mail on the 21st!
"This week was....STRESSFUL! Hermana Welker, one of my roommates, has a Pacemaker and her BP went up to 197 per minute Saturday afternoon. So she was rushed to the Hospital....her companion went with her and spent the night. Then, I found got a call that said that I needed to replace her companion so she could go to classes the next day. So, I went there from 8-8 on Sunday. The doctors in Mexico are so nice and super good so they figured out her heart is an A-FIB. They wanted to do a surgery on her right then but she wanted to have her doctor do it. So, we came back to the Mexico CCM and they booked her a flight. Hermana Welker went home on Tuesday....so sad. But, I´m glad for her because she REALLY needed that surgery. She will be in the hospital for 3 months recovering....crazy. So we are now in a trio with Hermana Welker´s companion. Pray for me.

I go to AZ on Tuesday, SO STINKING EXCITED........TO GET A BURGER. Also, I leave the CCM at 2:30 AM. I am SLEEPING on that flight....My diarrhea kind of went away....now I only have it once in the mornings, pero esta bien. Being Sister Training Leaders means absolutely nothing. We just have to get to know all the Hermanas in our zone really well and then be there for them if they have any problems. One girl wanted to go home but we talked her into staying until the following Monday, and now she´s staying for good! What a good deed! :) That´s funny you have Elders in your ward that went to the Mexico CCM! Ask them what Zone they were and what teachers they had! I know like A TON of teachers. Mostly because I get in trouble a lot and then also I talk to everyone. hehe
So you know that picture I sent of my name in the cement? Well, some girl ratted us out and today we had to do 2 hours of service. 1st hour was laundry. I folded 400 pillowcases. But, that was actually fun because we could listen to Mexican Music. Yes, Mexican Music is fun. ANY MUSIC IS FUN AT THIS POINT. So after the first hour, we then emptied every trashcan in the CCM. Literally threw up 4 times so I´m working on that Post-Mish body already. ;)
Then we restocked toilet paper. What a delightful day. At least there were like 7 then 5 of us....a girl got sick. But, on the reals, I think we should have also worn orange jumpsuits and sang, ´´Ohweeoh, ohohhhhhoh´´ from The Wizard of Oz. That´s gangsta stuff right there. All the workers laugh about us...they thought it was funny. They said we´re famous. (I always wanted to be Hannah Montana)
I LOVE MY PACKAGES. But seriously mom....I need them. I´m in a PRISON. A prison that smells like alleyways of New York. I can´t wait to be in America again....it smells better. I didn´t take a picture.....but I can if you want. I still have it! My teacher is OBSESSED with Root Beer so I gave him one and now I´m his fave student. Everyone gets jealous too because they don´t get packages hahaha. Keep it coming Kel and Richard....you da you da best.
My Spanish is mas o menos pero getting better everyday. Spanish. I love it. Yet I hate it. SO MANY CONJUGATIONS AND RULES! English is da best. Love ya, ´murica. Honestly, the Spanish I learned in 5th grade at Ashton has helped the most.....like the colors, and numbers, and the mucho gusto song. SHOUT OUT TO THE ASHTON ELEMENTARY SPANISH DEPARTMENT. you are great.
That´s funny about the girls. Tell them to prepare for missions....they´re the best! But only if they want to.....no forcing here.
Mom, I´m such a trouble maker here.....I LOVE IT. But it´s like stupid trouble maker stuff. Like the forts we made last week, yeah....our Elders got yelled at last week for them. They didn't believe we were the ones who made them. Also, Hermana Pratt yells at me every day. Also, the cement. Also, we try to play Ultimate 4 Square everyday and we always get told to move. There´s more and I wrote it all down but I forgot my Notebook!
I also have a surprise I´m sending to you but I´m not sending it until Phoenix...because the mail here takes forever. 3 weeks for a letter! So the day I get to Phoenix, I´ll send it! k? love ya!
XOXO, Hermana Dreiling (Hermoine)
our district decided I´m Hermoine now.´´

Week 4 Mexico MTC
´´Not a lot happened this weekend but then again, SO much happened. And by that I mean....
There is a huge virus going around the Mexico CCM. It starts with cramps....goes to diarrhea....the the grand finale is throwing up and almost diarrhea'ing in your pants because the pressure is just too much. Yeah...that was up ALL Sunday and Monday. Oh, and now I have a cold. FEELING GREAT.
My toe is doing better, it doesn´t hurt unless you touch it and the doctor STILL doesn´t know what it is...but whatevs. WOAH! There´s this CRAZY thing that happened...So with the virus going around, there was one kid who couldn´t stop throwing up. So the nurse here gave him a shot and he went to bed. When he woke up, he was PARALYZED from the waist down. They don´t know how long it will be until he can walk again....if ever. He´s in the Mexico City Hospital and he´s going home next week. Isn´t that CRAY?! I´m never getting a shot again...
On Sunday, I stayed home from Sacrament. Then, the Branch President showed up at our door. I thought we were in trouble for some reason....He said he wanted to talk to us in a more professional setting. So we got dressed and went. And we are now the new Sister Training Leaders for the branch...it doesn´t really mean much but hey, it´s another calling. We´re basically the Sister Zone Leaders....but there´s no such thing. lol
Don´t you dare send me the word, ´´Gumbo´´ in another email. How dare you. You are the devil. The food here is disgusting. It used to be good but now I cannot choke it down. It is awful. idk what happened. Rice and Beans EVERY MEAL pero, nasty rice and beans. nasty. so so nasty.
Spanish is coming along. Way better than when I started....oh heck, that was such a nightmare. I can bare my testimony, pray, and teach a lesson in Español. Pretty amazing to think that. Thank you for your prayers. I have definitely felt them.
I´m like running out of money....AHHHH! I have a problem. Can you tell Michaela to write me because I have not recieved an email from him and that is rude. Thanks. Also Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw.
OMG I ALMOST FORGOT. So every night I yell out the window of our casa, NAAAASDFJDSGDFG DOBEDABEESHABABA HIGHNYAWAYYYY from Lion King and people join in. So one night, I dressed up in dark clothes and teased my hair and put a brown blanket around me and I went outside and danced around while screaming it in the courtyard between like 12 casas....it was SO funny! One guy screamed out the window, ´´You son of a b****....you are NOT being a representative of Christ´´ and I was like....how so? and also...he cursed. bahaha mormons.....
Most people thought it was hilarious so it´s all good! :)
I think that´s it....I got the Krispy Kreme´s and they were SO DANG GOOD. Super fresh! Please send me a big package. I deserve it after what I went through on Sunday and Monday! I sent you the package I want lol :)
HHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYYYYY BBBBBBBBBIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAYYYYYY
MMMOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYY!!!!! Love you pero you are getting old! lol
I leave the CCM Tuesday the 26th! SOOO CLOSE! 12 DAYS!!!!
Write me back! I love you!!!!

Week 3 in the MTC
´´I've been here for 22 days!!! Only 19 more left!!!
So I went to the Enfermia for my toe. It got super red and then turned super white and swollen. The doctor said he doesn't know what it is. He originally thought it was a wart but it isn´t. Pero, he treated it like a wart by giving me like a weird band aid and antibiotics...and it´s getting better. He still doesn't know what it is though....The whole MTC fasted on Saturday night until Sunday lunch and I had to take my medicine.....I didn´t even think about how I couldn´t take it with an empty stomach....so I WAS LITERALLY DRUGGED. Sooo stinking funny. During our Progressing Investigator time, I wasn´t teaching that night so I literally fell asleep on the floor. (With a blanket that I keep in the classroom because I´m mommy´s daughter and I´m always cold here. Also, our teacher called me an Arab the other day because I had it wrapped around my head too. okay Hermano Hernandez...lol) Woke up and started bawling because I was so tired and I just wouldn´t stop crying.....I remember it completely but I just didn´t know what was going on at the time....boo. Hermano Hernandez and Hurtado now think I´m a drug addict and a psycho person. I´m surprised they haven´t recommended me for the Therapist on site. Again, church things just bring embarrassment, and then misery. lol
So we have two investigators.....our teachers....and the lessons go really well with Lucio and REALLLLLLLY awful with Jesus. It´s Hermano Hurtado and he just talks so fast in Spanish....lol Like the other day he said something to me in Español and I literally couldn´t figure it out....finally after like 3 minutes of us just going back and forth with ´´Que?´´ and ´´ksdajfhakdjf´´ (that´s what it sounds like half the time) he was fed up and just said, ´´I said you dropped your pen´´ So much awkwardness in that room. I was like, ´´okay, en el nombre de Jesucristo, Amen. Adios, nunca hasta luego.´´ I understand Gospel things and can speak it as well but I cannot understand or speak conversational things. Apparently they don´t teach you that here....weird. okay? I´ll learn it in the field.
So my old District Leader is SO POWER HUNGRY. He is just one of those guys that feels like he was born to be a leader. I literally want to punch him in the face. every. day. But I don´t :)
Our water is FIXED! Hallelujah!
Hermana Argyle and I get along REALLY well. Like we have never disagreed. She´s going to Phoenix with me, along with those other boys who I took pictures with the first P-Day! The ginger and blonde! But Elder McKenzie is going to Tulsa, Oklahoma. (There are Latinos there?) But they are my favorite district EVER. We hang out with them more than our actual district, just because our District likes to play Volleyball and ONLY Volleyball (you know how I feel about that) and then 6c likes to play anything the Hermanas want to play....so sweet.
Tell Mikey to be a good brother and write me. Kthanks, love ya. And Ricardo to write me back. Kthanks, love ya.
Johnny Lingo night sounds SO fun! Do you know that I´ve never seen it?!
So today for P-Day we went to the Mexico City Temple Visitors Center. It is SUPER cool and SUPER high tech and the whole thing was on families and I was bawling my eyes out the whole time. Why would they do that to a missionary. It´s not right man, it´s just not right...I bought a lot of cool things like 2 cool key chains for ya´ll and a backpack and scripture cases. They are awesome scripture cases! like leather and a Mexican carpet one. I´ll send pictures!
I think that´s it for now. Less than 3 weeks left until I´m back in the States....with burgers....PRAISE BURGERS.I love you guys and I´ll see you in ALMOST 17 months.
XOXO, Hermana Dreiling (Dobby)´´
Week 2 in the MTC
(This post is from last week on The 31st-- sorry for the delay! Her email from this week will be posted in a few minutes!)
"It´s so hard to write because they only give me like 30 mins....ughhh! Anyway here we go.
"It´s so hard to write because they only give me like 30 mins....ughhh! Anyway here we go.
Well, our water was out all last week in our casa so we had to go to a different casa to shower and go to the bathroom. One morning, I had to pee so I went to the bathroom and opened the lid. Oh my heck. THERE WAS A POTATO IN THERE! I bet you can guess it wasn´t really a potato but holy crap (LITERALLY) it was disgusting. We call the girl....´´The Potato Factory´´ because we found like 3 of them around campus. It´s seriously a problem and I feel bad for that girl. It must hurt.
HEY! At devo on Sunday, we had a talk from Elder Holland and it was about how he didn't understand how returned missionaries could see the things they´ve seen and experience the things they´ve experienced and become inactive. And I completely agree.....how in the world could you do that? This church is the most important thing in my life and I would be lost without it. Why would I waste a year and a half of my life if I didn´t believe in what I´m doing....you know_ UGH! MAKES. HERMANA DREILING. ANGRY. whatever. to each their own I guess...but not really because I´m always right.....except in Spanish. boo. :(
So my companion has a secret admirer. But it´s no so secret. He´s literally obsessed with her. And his nickname for her? ´´The White Dove´´ Is that not the creepiest thing you´ve ever heard? Seriously....what the flip. I gagged when I heard it.
So our first investigator is now our night teacher. And he teaches right across the hall from us. We knew he was a teacher but not teaching RIGHT ACROSS THE FLIPPING HALL! We saw him walk into his classroom one morning and it literally scared me. I was frozen.....like Elsa. baha, I´m stupid. So his name in Hermano Hernandez and he´s awesome. His phone went off the other night in class and his ringtone was ´´Talk Dirty To Me´´. Literally laughed for 15 mins. It. Was. Awesome.
I may or may not have flipped out on my teacher Hermano Hurtado the other day, Not in a mean way... just in a, ´´WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING ME? YOU TALK TOO FAST AND I NEVER UNDERSTAND YOU. IS THERE A STUPID CLASS BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE TO BE TRANSFERRED.´´ If that wasn´t embarrasssing enough, I was bawling my eyes out in front of the whole class and they were just staring. It was EFY 2010 ALL OVER AGAIN! Why do I do church things? It always just brings embarrassment. JUST KIDDING. LOVE YA HEAVENLY FATHER.
So the CCM President´s wife keeps yelling at me. Apparently I laugh too loud and it´s ´´not appropriate for an Hermana´´
Oh, and my shirts are too low. What???? I wear downeast shirts with everything. Look at my pictures and you will see the only thing higher may be a turtleneck...it´s racism man... RACISM! Just kidding, she´s white too but she just hates me. Whatevs. #hatersgonhate
So we´ve made tons of friends, but we have mainly four others that we are always with! Hermana Jaccard, Pullido, Mrozek, and Bailey. We sit with each other at every meal and we have the weirdest conversations. Like The Potato Factory. (I just wanted to remind you. You´re Welcome.) But the other day we all made up nicknames for each other from Harry Potter....
guess who i am.
just guess.
Dobby.
Yeah, I don´t know either...next topic.
I LOVE MY STINKING DISTRICT!!! Elders Clark, Farley, Webster, Bean, Winterhalter, Schow, Anderson, and Benson. Best. District. Ever. I use my umbrella as a weapon and if anyone is mean to me, I press the button and it shoots out and gut punches people. It´s the best. Also, Elder Clark has an umbrella that he bought here and it is so girly. So he named it Sasha...he´s a big black guy but kinda looks a little poly. Love him. He is so protective over Sasha....but sadly, she broke. So Hermana Argyle and I bought him another one before this...he´s going to be so happy...pictures to come! lol :)
Well, I´m like running out of time, I think I´m emailing earlier next week because we might go to the temple....so don´t forget to call the bank because I´ll need money!!
